Terms & Condition
– Leipzig Adventures – kayak the city
1. General
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all rental agreements concluded between Leipzig Adventures – kayak the city and the renter (hereinafter "customer"). By renting a kayak, the customer accepts these GTC.
2. Rentals
Kayaks and any other accessories (kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and dry bags) are rented. The customer receives the rental equipment in perfect, functional condition and is obligated to return it in the same condition.
3. Rental period and return
The rental period begins and ends at the agreed times. For late return, a late fee may be charged according to the daily rate. Returns outside of opening hours require prior arrangement.
4. Customer’s obligations
The customer undertakes to treat the rental equipment with care and use it only for its intended purpose. The customer may not transfer the rental equipment to third parties. Wearing a life jacket is recommended during the entire use of the equipment. The customer is obligated to inform themselves about the weather conditions, local circumstances, and potential hazards.
5. Liability and Disclaimer
The kayak is used at your own risk. The rental company is not liable for damage resulting from improper use, disregard of safety instructions, or force majeure. Liability for lost or damaged personal belongings is excluded. The customer is liable for all damage to the rental equipment caused by them, as well as for loss, theft, or damage caused by gross negligence. The customer is solely responsible for personal injury, property damage, or financial loss resulting from use. The rental company assumes no liability for accidents, injuries, or deaths unless these are due to gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the rental company.
6. Insurance
There is no insurance for the rental equipment. Customers are advised to take out personal liability insurance if necessary.
7. Cancellation
Cancellations of a tour must be made in writing. Cancellations made up to 12 hours before the start of the rental will be free of charge. Cancellations made later or in the case of a no-show will be charged the full rental price.
8. Data pretection
The personal data collected during the booking process will be used exclusively to process the rental agreement and will not be shared with third parties. Further information can be found under Privacy Policy.
9. Place of jurisdiction and applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The place of jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law, is the registered office of the lessor.
10. Severability Clause
Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
